English abstract

The Thesaurus of Nuovo Soggettario contains 13000 terms linked together by standard semantic relationships. They are divided into two groups of 7660 preferred terms and 5340 non-preferred. The morphologic rules (singular/plural, decomposition) are in accordance with ISO standard 2788/1986. About 2190 terms have been changed since the 1956 edition of the Soggettario producing new connections and give the derivations called "historical variations". The Thesaurus includes current words, technical and specialised terms, names of plants and animals, neologisms and foreign words used in the italian language.

I 13000 termini del Thesaurus del Nuovo soggettario, collegati tra loro tramite relazioni semantiche standard, sono costituiti da 7660 termini preferiti e 5340 non preferiti. Le scelte morfologiche (singolare e plurale, scomposizione) seguono le indicazioni della norma ISO 2788/1986. Circa 2190 termini sono cambiati rispetto alla forma del vecchio Soggettario del 1956, e hanno dato origine a legami di “variante storica”. Nel Thesaurus convivono termini della lingua d’uso, termini tecnici, specialistici e settoriali, alcuni nomi di piante ed animali, neologismi, prestiti linguistici e termini stranieri entrati nella lingua italiana.
