English abstract

Technical Committee – TC 46 and Standards Committee 4 – the committees of the International Organization for Standardization – ISO met in October 2004 in Washington. The aim of the meeting was a revision of the current standards and protocols relating to interlibrary loans and exchange of the documents as well as the promotion of the new ones. The revision did not make any step forward on the final vote because the participants did not accept the proposed next version of the standard in the area. The paper informs about the causes of the disagreement and the consequences of current development of the communication area in the interlibrary loan based on international standards.

Serbian abstract

U oktobru 2004. godine, Tehnički komitet (Technical Committee – TC 46) i Komitet za standardizaciju (Standards Committee 4) Međunarodne organizacije za standardizaciju (International Organization for Standardization – ISO) sastali su se u Vašingtonu. Cilj sastanka bila je revizija postojećih standarda i protokola koji se odnose na međunarodnu pozajmicu i razmenu dokumenata, kao i promovisanje novih. Na finalnom glasanju revizija nije donela nikakav pomak jer učesnici sastanka nisu prihvatili predloženu sledeću verziju standarda u ovoj oblasti. Tekst informiše o razlozima tog neslaganja i posledicama trenutnog razvoja na polju komunikacije u međubibliotečkoj pozajmici zasnovanoj na međunarodnim standardima.
