The photography, from produced by the central Administrations like generated by independent photographers and the fans has originated a comparable documentary explotion to which it ocurred with the traditional document to XX century. The guard and conservation of this documents of modern support guarented to the scientific reaserchs circunstances that escape to the written ideas and complement the references that interest to the history of the institutions. It´s necessary to learn to read the iconic text like one takes control of the lingustic text, and to evaluate and to select the photograph documentation criticaly because the indiscriminate guard like the inadvertent destruction is a danger for a documentation that is part of our audio-visual memory.

La fotografía, desde la producida por las Administraciones centrales así como las generadas por fotógrafos independientes y aficionados, ha originado una explosión documental comparable a la que se diera con el documento soporte papel a mediados del siglo XX. La guarda y conservación de este documento de soporte moderno garantiza al investigador científico circunstancias que escapan a las ideas escritas y complementan las referencias que interesan a la historia de las instituciones. Es necesario aprender a leer el texto icónico al igual que se hace con el texto lingüístico y evaluar y seleccionar la documentación fotográfica que se incluirán en los repositorios crítica y criteriosamente, pues la guarda indiscriminada así como la destrucción inadvertida son un peligro para una documentación que es parte de nuestra memoria audiovisual.
