English abstract

The European Higher Education Area has revealed the need to change the teaching-learning process, and to adapt the librarian services to the new needs. In this context of change, the present communication tries to illustrate the importance of using the results of opinion surveys of library users to redesign the services offered in the library or to create new services adapted to their needs. As an example, we present the analysis of the opinion of students at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid about some aspects of the loan service and hours of libraries. The study was carried out in 2007, by means of the accomplishment of 2,208 personal interviews to students which were selected randomly among the different studies.

El Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) ha puesto de manifiesto la necesidad de cambiar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y de adecuar el servicio bibliotecario a las nuevas necesidades. En este contexto de cambio, la presente comunicación pretende ilustrar la importancia de utilizar los resultados de los estudios de opinión de los usuarios de la biblioteca, para adecuar y crear servicios bibliotecarios adaptados a sus necesidades, lo que conlleva una profunda reflexión sobre el cambio de las características de las nuevas bibliotecas y del perfil de los bibliotecarios; como ejemplo, presentamos el análisis de la opinión que tienen los estudiantes de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid sobre algunos aspectos de este servicio. El estudio fue llevado a cabo en el año 2007, mediante la realización de 2.208 entrevistas personales a estudiantes, los cuales fueron seleccionados aleatoriamente entre los distintos estudios ofertados por la UCM.
