English abstract

Originally a collection of 2 763 copyright-free photos on the Battle of Normandy, and a private initiative to correct errors and enhance the quality of descriptions. A choice : to use the features of the photos sharing platform Flickr to improve indexation of this fund.

French abstract

Au départ : une collection de 2 763 photos libres de droit sur la bataille de Normandie, et une initiative privée, celle de corriger les erreurs de légendage et d’enrichir la qualité des descriptions. Un choix : celui d’utiliser les fonctionnalités de la plate-forme de partage de Flickr pour améliorer l’indexation de ce fonds. Au total, un bilan positif présenté par un des initiateurs du projet.
