English abstract

This paper aims at both presenting the AUTh electronic library and evaluating the success of past collection development choices. Usage reports/data offered by publishers and vendors when correlated with other numerical data, may reveal the use of the library collection (AUTh and HEAL-Link subscriptions), as well as other useful information regarding the AUTh library collection development policy and the overall AUTh library services organization.

Η εισήγηση αυτή έχει ως σκοπό να παρουσιάσει την εξελικτική πορεία της ηλεκτρονικής βιβλιοθήκης του ΑΠΘ και κυρίως να διερευνήσει την επιτυχία των επιλογών του παρελθόντος μέσω των στατιστικών στοιχείων χρήσης ηλεκτρονικών πηγών που διαθέτουν οι εκάστοτε εκδότες-διαθέτες. Η χρήση των ηλεκτρονικών πηγών (συνδρομές ΑΠΘ και HEAL-Link) από την ακαδημαϊκή κοινότητα του ΑΠΘ και ο συσχετισμός τους με άλλα ποσοτικά δεδομένα αποκαλύπτει χρήσιμες πληροφορίες τόσο για την πολιτική ανάπτυξης, όσο και για την οργάνωση των υπηρεσιών της βιβλιοθήκης του ΑΠΘ εν γένει.
