English abstract

The paper describes genesis, principles and development of the Polish Bibliological Bibliography – a bibliographic database created in MAK system and MARC BN format in the National Library. The resource, available online from 1997, registers documents published since 1995. Its content, scope and formal characteristics are presented, as well as the criteria for selection and weeding of registered materials. The report contains detailed data regarding the number of bibliographic records included yearly in the database and statistics regarding its usability. In conclusion, the present issues and problems connected with the compilation of the bibliography and plans for its future are outlined, such as making its content available in PDF format.

Artykuł zawiera genezę, założenia, analizę „Polskiej Bibliografii Bibliologicznej” – bibliograficznej bazy danych tworzonej w Bibliotece Narodowej. Baza, tworzona w systemie bibliotecznym MAK i formacie danych MARC BN, powstała w 1997 r. i rejestruje piśmiennictwo od rocznika 1995. Artykuł obejmuje także zasady doboru i selekcji rejestrowanego materiału, aktualne problemy oraz plany na przyszłość.
