English abstract

The purpose of this paper is to reflect on the need to enrich the available indicators to measure the digital divide. The gap is a technological and economic entity. Also cultural, environmental and social. The premise is to consider that social indicators provide relevant information about the quality of life and perception of community welfare. Social indicators are essential tools for solving social problems and for making decisions about public policy intervention. This paper attempts to answer the need for methodological tools that allow to select and develop new parameters for the design, formulation, monitoring and evaluating programs, projects and policies of social intervention aimed at community development.
