English abstract

The Internet has provided a framework for the development of communication services, connection, information access and mobile applications, which libraries have adopted in basically every field. Rather than displaying an endless list of Internet-based library management applications, our paper approaches the question by taking into consideration the basic functions of libraries (collecting, processing-preserving. and disseminating) which allows a wide and readable about the use of the Network in the library services. As a conclusion some tendencies are suggested for the near future.

Sobre la estructura de Internet se han desarrollado servicios de comunicación, de conexión, de acceso a la información y móviles que las bibliotecas han incorporado a prácticamente todos los ámbitos. En lugar de ofrecer una lista interminable y aburrida de tecnología basada en Internet de aplicación en bibliotecas, este trabajo estructura la cuestión a partir de las funciones básicas de las bibliotecas (coleccionar, ordenar-conservar, y difundir) lo que le permite ofrecer un panorama suficientemente amplio y ameno sobre la utilización de la Red en los servicios bibliotecarios. Para acabar, se apuntan algunas tendencias para el futuro más inmediato.
