Welcome to the Get SMART Games Wiki!


This space is designed to connect information literacy instructors to resources for games based library instruction.

Jo-Anne Naslund, Instructional Programs Librarian at the University of British Columbia Education Library and Emily Tufts, Teacher and Librarian have based this Wiki on their experiences using games based instruction in the information literacy program of the UBC Education Library.  The information on this wiki includes:

  • References to research literature on games based instruction
  • Learning Objects for re-use including game templates and re-usable online games
  • Forums related to games based instruction including blogs, wikis and online communities of practice
  • Prezi the a/v presentation from the BCLA conference session
  • Resources for instructors including online tutorials and examples of games used in libraries
