English abstract

Access to global knowledge: Google’s contribution. In just a few short years the internet has become an extremely powerful and vital tool for accessing levels of information and content that would have been unthinkable with other forms of media; we have moved from an information shortage to being overloaded with information and sources. The article analyses how Google is including information and content that are making access to knowledge more universal and is helping to find, discover, analyse and categorise the contents accessible on the Internet.

El acceso al conocimiento global: la contribución de Google. Internet se ha convertido en muy pocos años en una potentísima e imprescindible herramienta para acceder a niveles de información y contenidos impensables hasta ahora por otros medios. Hemos pasado de la escasez de información al exceso de información y fuentes. Analizaremos cómo Google está incorporando información y contenidos que están universalizando el acceso al Conocimiento y cómo está ayudando a encontrar, descubrir, analizar y categorizar los contenidos accesibles en la Red.
