English abstract
Academic libraries as part of institutions that play a fundamental role in the generation, transmission and dissemination of knowledge, are a privileged space to actively contribute to the academic training of students through the training of users based on the development of competence in handling information. This point of view with the International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESLALC-UNESCO) when they say that the biggest challenge for these libraries is to train competent people for lifelong learning, socially responsible and committed global sustainability. Information Literacy (ALFIN1) is the response of the Library to this new scenario modifies the traditional model of user education focused on dissemination of collections and services, based on design guidelines for the development of information skills to users. Shows the various denominations that seek to express the IL process within the Hispanic community, but also and above all, try to understand it, collecting the various concepts developed by scholars, and finally reflect on their conceptual, from the explanation of the term competition from pedagogical approaches. It also provides a very general overview of information literacy programs offered, as well as support tools for independent learning, as guides, tutorials, etc.., That the Peruvian university libraries available to their communities through the academic Web to support information literacy programs. Finally, disclosed some experiences in the library of the University of Lima in the management of its training programs online users with pedagogical processes of the university, aimed at developing skills in information management.
