English abstract

This presentation will discuss the nature of MOOCs critically. It will try to systematize the requirements and characteristics attributed to their creators and to those who have developed the best known versions. From evidence, whether there is pedagogic gains or actual innovation will be examined. The context in which MOOCs occur and viable alternatives will be the starting point.

En esta presentación abordaremos de forma crítica la naturaleza de los MOOCs. Intentaremos sistematizar los requisitos y las características que le atribuyen sus creadores y los que han desarrollado las versiones más conocidas. Para a partir de esa constancia ver qué ganancia pedagógica suponen, o si constituyen realmente una innovación. Pero antes veremos en qué contexto se producen y qué alternativas viables hay.
