English abstract
The paper discusses the need and importance of ‘Hybrid Library” in the present digital era. The various technological factors to construct an organizational framework for hybrid library are highlighted. Some important hybrid library systems in abroad are mentioned. Based on the available practices, a model for hybrid library has been framed out for better information services. In the present scenario of rapid changing environment, infrastructure, service facilities should made available according to the need so as to compete and survive in era of globalization and competitiveness. The paper is also concerned with the emergence of new concept in the field of library & information Science called hybrid library. It provides glimpse of what is hybrid library, why, scope, function barriers, advantages, technology and architecture. This article focuses on the goals, technology, and implementation of this scheme. As a result, all workstations are being converted to the new framework.
