English abstract

For nearly 30 years , the library of the University Foundation Liberators had the responsibility of guarding , manage and administer different information resources is responsible , according to meet the interests of the academic community in general. Similarly , supports literary and documentary , the development of scientific, cultural and research at the University , with its main objective to satisfy the information needs of students , alumni, faculty and staff , researchers and external users are regulated through agreements . The library supports different academic programs present in the types of technology , University ( undergraduate and graduate ) , with the methodology in person, online and distance . The collection development policy of the library of the Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores is aligned with the Institutional Educational Project Liberator and Institutional Development Plan 2006 -2010 , and its objective to deliver the guidelines development process collections of bibliographic material ( in all formats ) that are desirable for the library , in order to deliver appropriate and effective responses to the information needs of the academic community of the university.

Por espacio de casi 30 años, la biblioteca de la Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores ha tenido la responsabilidad de custodiar, gestionar y administrar los diferentes recursos de información que tiene a su cargo, en función de responder a los intereses de la comunidad académica en general. De igual modo, sirve de apoyo bibliográfico y documental, al desarrollo de las actividades científicas, culturales e investigativas de la Universidad, siendo su principal objetivo satisfacer las necesidades de información de los estudiantes, egresados, personal docente y administrativo, investigadores y usuarios externos que son regulados a través de convenios. La biblioteca brinda apoyo a los diferentes programas de formación académica presentes en las modalidades tecnológicas, Universitaria (Pregrado y Postgrado), con la metodología presencial, virtual y a distancia. La política de desarrollo de colecciones de la biblioteca de la Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores se encuentra alineada con el Proyecto Educativo Institucional Libertador y el Plan de Desarrollo Institucional 2006 -2010, además su objetivo entregar los lineamientos del proceso de desarrollo de colecciones del material bibliográfico (en todos los formatos) con que debe contar la biblioteca, con el fin de entregar respuestas pertinentes y efectivas a las necesidades de información de toda la comunidad académica de la universidad.
