English abstract

This is the first of two parts, reflecting the integrated results of research of both authors, in which we analyze the theoretical and conceptual aspects and models related to information behavior. It highlights their essential characteristics and a comparison is made based on the study of selected analytical categories. The structure of this first part is based on the results of the research of Zayas (2009-2012), in which the analysis of Núñez research are inserted (2002-2013). It addresses the main definitions relating to information behavior and equivalent concepts or associated with this. Reference is made to several dimensions such as: origin, types, and patterns of information behavior, as well as all the aspect related to this field.

Spanish abstract

Se trata de la primera parte de dos, que reflejan los resultados integrados de trabajos de investigación de ambos autores, en los cuales se analizan los aspectos teórico-conceptuales y modelos, vinculados al comportamiento informacional. Se destacan sus características esenciales y se realiza una comparación a partir del estudio de categorías analíticas seleccionadas. La estructura de esta primera parte se basa en los resultados de la investigación de Zayas (2009-2012), en la cual se van insertando los análisis derivados de las investigaciones de Núñez (2002-2013). Se abordan las principales definiciones relativas al comportamiento informacional, así como conceptos equivalentes o asociados a este. Se hace referencia a varias dimensiones como: origen, tipos, y patrones de comportamiento informacional, así como a la multi, inter y transdisciplinariedad relacionada con este campo.
