English abstract

Study of fifty journals in Information Science from Latin América and The Caribbean, used Latindex’s directory (Regional Information System Online for scientific journals from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal), to identify the extent to which comes using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software for publication as scientific production. Determines how many of these journals are developing a profile within the academic search: Google Scholar.

Estudio realizado a 50 revistas en Bibliotecología de América Latina y El Caribe, obtenidas del directorio de Latindex (Sistema Regional de Información en Línea para revistas científicas de América Latina, El Caribe, España y Portugal), con el propósito de identificar en qué medida se viene utilizando Open Journal Systems (OJS) como software para la publicación de la producción científica. Asimismo, determina cuántas de estas revistas vienen desarrollando un perfil dentro del buscador academic Google Scholar.
