English abstract

The digitization program "Wallcharts of Padua University libraries of Sciences" began in 2010 , as the first phase of a larger project designed to survey and digitization of historical collections of materials for the teaching of sciences . This first part of the project involved about 200 wallcharts of biology , earth science and physics and ended in January 2014. The project goals are the preserving, digitazing ,cataloging and online publishing of the collections. The phases of the projects have been: Collection screening; Restoration; Material selection; Digitization; Cataloging; Online release; Classification. Il programma di digitalizzazione delle “Tavole parietali scientifiche” del polo bibliotecario di Scienze prende avvio nel 2010, come prima fase di un più ampio progetto volto al censimento e alla digitalizzazione delle collezioni storiche di materiali per la didattica della scienza. Questa prima parte del progetto ha interessato circa 200 tavole di biologia, geoscienze e di fisica e si è conclusa a gennaio 2014. Gli obiettivi del progetto sono la conservazione nel tempo e la pubblicazione in linea della collezione catalogata e digitalizzata. Le fasi di realizzazione sono state: Ricognizione; Restauro e Conservazione; Selezione del materiale; Digitalizzazione; Catalogazione; Pubblicazione in linea; Classificazione.
