Abstract(s)
The library science and the exercise of the profession, as all human activity, require of an agreed ethical content with the era and with the type of society that frames their actions. It is proposed an ethics basis librarian from thought of JoséOrtega y Gasset, of José Luis Aranguren and of the speech ethics of Adela Cortina. The thesis that is developed is that the library as social institution and the librarian that acts according to his personal and professional mission have a social responsibility for with the community to the one which lend their services.
La ciencia bibliotecológica y el ejercicio de la profesión, como toda actividad humana, requieren de un contenido ético acorde con la época y con el tipo de sociedad que enmarca sus acciones. Se propone un fundamento de ética bibliotecológica a partir del pensamiento de José Ortega y Gasset, de José Luis Aranguren y de la ética discursiva de Adela Cortina. La tesis que se desarrolla es que la biblioteca como institución social y el bibliotecólogo que actúa de acuerdo a su misión personal y profesional tienen una responsabilidad social para con la comunidad a la cual prestan sus servicios.
