English abstract
We Study of the evolution of the public library system in Spain from 2008 to 2016, analyzing its weaknesses and strengths. The purpose is to show the benefits that libraries have provided during the economic crisis and demonstrate the need to recover funding so that they can continue to innovate and be relevant in solving users' information problems.
Spanish abstract
Estudio de la evolución de la biblioteca pública en España desde 2008 hasta 2016, analizando sus debilidades y fortalezas. El fin es mostrar los beneficios que han aportado durante la crisis económica y demostrar la necesidad de recuperar financiación para que puedan seguir innovando y ser relevantes en la resolución de los problemas informativos de los usuarios.
