English abstract

It has been a year since the Center for the Book at the New Bulgarian University, the first institution of such kind in the country, was created. It unites the Library, the Publishing House, the Archive and the bookstores of the University and it was based on the idea of Georgy Tekev, Ph.D., executive director of NBU. The Center aims to support the educational and research activities and the dissemination of the achievements of NBU. The main goal is to make the university editions and archive collections, donated by prominent Bulgarian scholars more visible, usable, readable and researchable through support of synergetic connections, interaction and joint initiatives among the different units and staffs of the Center.

Измина една година от създаването на първия по рода си сред образователните институции в страната Център за книгата на Нов български университет. Той обединява Библиотека, Издателство, Университетски архив и книжарници и е основан по идея на д-р Георги Текев, изпълнителен директор на НБУ. Целта е подпомагане на образователната и научноизследователската дейност и разпространение на постиженията на НБУ. Стремежът е чрез поддържане на синергични връзки, взаимодействие и съвместни инициативи между звената в Центъра библиотечните ресурси и услуги, университетските издания и архивните колекции, дарени от известни български учени, да станат по-видими, използвани, четени и изследвани.
