English abstract

Technological change in university libraries is already a reality. Is it so at a stage in which technology is one of the pillars of its transformation with regarding services to users with academic information needs. However, this transformation should be based not only on innovating through technology to innovate only, but in an ideological framework that guides the path of organizational change in all its manifestations. Technology by itself alone does not make the change. Below I will list ten ideas so that the transformation and application of technological innovations in university libraries that were presented in the Executive Summary of the 2017 Horizont Report for academic libraries.

El ​cambio tecnológico en las bibliotecas universitarias ya es una realidad. Están en una etapa en la cual la tecnología es uno de los pilares de su transformación con respecto a los servicios a los usuarios con necesidades de información académica. Sin embargo, esta transformación debería estar basada no solamente en innovar a través de la tecnología por innovar nomás, sino en una marco ideológico que guíe el camino del cambio organizativo en todas sus manifestaciones. La tecnología por sí sola no hace el cambio. A continuación enumeraré diez ideas para que la transformación y la aplicación de innovaciones tecnológicas en bibliotecas universitarias que fueron presentadas en el Resumen Ejecutivo del Informe Horizont 2017 para bibliotecas académicas.
