English abstract

GO FAIR is an international initiative that adopts a bottom-up approach, with its members acting from the bottom up, initiated with the support of the governments of the Netherlands, Germany and France, with the participation of the United States and, more recently, with the accession of Brazil. This initiative aims to promote the coherent development of the global Internet for FAIR services and data, following the guidelines of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). GO FAIR prioritizes making all sorts of data, which are fragmented and disconnected, more easily accessible, interoperable and reusable, ie FAIR, thus facilitating their recognition by machines and people. This initiative seeks to develop a shared global environment for data-driven research and innovation. It is at its core to encourage the creation of Regional Networks that commit, in a participatory and collaborative way, to follow FAIR principles as an implementation strategy. It also proposes to promote mechanisms for the development of standards, protocols, policies, guidelines and good practices for data management in order to increase efficiency in the use, sharing and reuse of data, ensuring a greater return for the benefit of society, science, research and innovation. The GO FAIR Brazil office is one of the regional offices of GO FAIR support and coordination, and therefore has the responsibility to disseminate, support and coordinate in Brazil the activities related to the adoption of strategies to implement FAIR principles, defined by the GO FAIR initiative. GO FAIR Brazil operates in all areas of knowledge and is coordinated by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT). The GO FAIR Brazil Health Implementation Network is a thematic network responsible for developing strategies to implement the FAIR principles in the health field. Its coordination is under the responsibility of the Institute of Communication and Scientific Information and Technology in Health (ICICT) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), which counts on the participation of several institutions in the areas of Public Health, Health Surveillance, Information and Communication in Health , History of Cultural Heritage of Science and Health, Oncology, Nursing and Professional Health Education. The GO FAIR Brasil Health Network proposes to work in an articulated and collaborative way with its members, in compliance with the FAIR principles, in the field of health. The focus of this Network is on promoting the sharing and reuse of health data. Health research communities have the support of GO FAIR Brazil Health, through subnetworks that support the development of interoperability infrastructures, specific data formats, adaptation and adoption of metadata standards, use of controlled vocabularies and ontologies of the health sciences and the strengthening of the semantic web in health.
