English abstract

Formation and function of professionals in the Information Science. We are dealing with an issue which, as we have said, requires study and meditation at the continuing evolution that has been occurring. It should be clear criteria and vision with a broad spirit of the question. Since the OECD in its report on the status of the Information Science Policy in Spain, in 1972 spoke of the documentary, regarding them as different entities of librarians and archivists have been noticing this trend in subsequent meetings and actions that have been taking place.

Estamos ante un tema que, como ya hemos dicho, requiere meditación y estudio ante la continua evolución que se viene produciendo. Conviene tener criterios claros y visión de futuro con un espíritu amplio de la cuestión. Desde que la OCDE en su informe sobre la situación de la Política de Documentación en España, en el año 1972 habló de los documentalistas, considerándolos como entes diferentes de los bibliotecarios y archiveros se ha ido notando esta evolución en las sucesivas reuniones y actuaciones que han ido teniendo lugar.
