English abstract

Study investigated the information-seeking behavior of the students of A.B.N SEAL college(Cooch Behar, West Bengal) by adopting a descriptive questionnaire survey method. Parameters such as sources consulted by the students, its formats, awareness of services provided by the library, the pattern of information gathering system, gender, level of study and course of study and their effect on information-seeking behavior, etc. have been studied. The authors stated in the conclusion that users in the modern era are more inclined to use electronic resources.
