Italian abstract

Questo articolo approfondisce i concetti che stanno alla base della schema OpenURL studiato per collegamenti citazionali (reference linking) aperti nell’ambiente informativo accademico su web. Lo schema OpenURL trae origine dalla ricerca SFX condotta da Van de Sompel e colleghi all’Università di Ghent, in Belgio, dal 1998 al 2000. La discussione comincia col ripercorrere brevemente i problemi legati al link citazionali, studiati e affrontati nell’ambito della ricerca SFX: vengono quindi descritte le nozioni chiave della ricerca SFX: link a servizi estesi, linking chiusi e non sensibili al contesto VS linking aperti e sensibili al contesto. Poi l’articolo dettaglierà lo schema SFX per il linking aperto e ne riferirà gli ultimi sviluppi nell’ambiente dell’informazione accademica. Il componente chiave nella schema OpenURL è (ovviamente) la OpenUrl, che fornisce un formato standardizzato per il trasferimento dei metadati bibliografici attraverso i servizi informativi: a illustrazione dell’interesse crescente verso questo schema, si porrà particolare attenzione al prototipo in cui esso viene integrato con la soluzione di collegamento CrossRef di DOI. Questo articolo si focalizza su soluzioni concrete, rimandando ad un articolo successivo un approccio più astratto ai meccanismi di risoluzione sensibili al contesto.
