English abstract
All services are important in a specialized library, but that of virtual reference becomes an essential component in an era traversed by the COVID 19 pandemic. Based on a sample of inquiries with particular characteristics that arrived at the CDI by email during 2020-2021 the so-called "orphan consultations" have been detected, defining and classifying them in order to study them and ask various questions about them, detailing the social and resilient actions of the CDI in search of collaboration with citizens during a time of deep crisis .

Todos los servicios son importantes en una biblioteca especializada, pero el de referencia virtual pasa a constituir un componente esencial en una época atravesada por la pandemia de la COVID 19. A partir de un muestra de consultas con características particulares llegadas al CDI por correo electrónico durante 2020-2021 se han detectado las denominada “consultas huérfanas” definiéndolas y clasificándolas con el objeto de estudiarlas y plantear diversos interrogantes sobre las mismas, detallando el accionar social y resiliente del CDI en búsqueda de la colaboración con la ciudadanía durante una época de profunda crisis.
