English abstract
This article explores various aspects of the artist's book and its potential as a resource available in the library space. As a work of art, questions arise regarding its place of ownership, circulation and production. In this sense, the article investigates and reflects on the motivations and structures that allow the creation of collections, cataloging and archives of the artist's book in libraries.
Spanish abstract
El presente artículo desarrolla distintos aspectos en torno al libro de artista y sus posibilidades como recurso disponible en el espacio de la biblioteca. En tanto obra de arte, se plantean interrogantes en cuanto a su lugar de pertenencia, circulación y producción. En este sentido, se indaga y reflexiona sobre las motivaciones y estructuras que permiten la conformación de colecciones, catalogación y archivos del libro de artista en bibliotecas.
