Abstract(s)
This article introduces E-LIS: E-Prints in Library and Information Science. After a short description of the serials crisis (journal affordability problem, access/impact problem), the concept of open access is explained and it is stated, that open access archives like E-LIS can play a major role in providing open access literature. Following that, the article describes the functionalities and the technical background of E-LIS.
Dieser Artikel stellt das Open-Access-Archiv E-LIS für Literatur zum Informations- und Bibliothekswesen vor. Nach einer kurzen Erläuterung der aktuellen Problematik im Zeitschriftenwesen (Teuerungsproblem, Impact-Problem) wird das Konzept "Open-Access" erklärt und deutlich gemacht, dass hierfür Open-Access-Archive wie z.B. E-LIS eine wichtige Rolle spielen können. Anschließend widmet sich der Rest des Artikels einer Beschreibung von E-LIS, insbesondere den Funktionalitäten und dem technischen Hintergrund.
