English abstract

This article presents the creation and development of the Library "Jose Maria Lafragua"; as of the effort taken finished from year 1996 by the Meritorious Independent University of Puebla for the implantation of the project divided in two phases of rescue and diffusion of the Library, and development and fortification of the same one. This project is not only a sample of the interest that has the institution in conserving the bibliographical heap like Cultural Patrimony, but also a specific desire to apply and to promote the use of vanguard technologies to spread the value of the collective memory that is contained in the heap of the today Central Library University "Jose Maria Lafragua".

Spanish abstract

En este artículo se nos habla de la creación y desarrollo de la Biblioteca “José María Lafragua” ; asi como del esfuerzo llevado acabado desde el año 1996 por la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla para la implantación del proyecto dividido en dos fases de rescate y difusión de la Biblioteca, y desarrollo y fortalecimiento de la misma. Este proyecto no sólo es una muestra del interés que tiene la institución en conservar el acervo bibliográfico como Patrimonio Cultural, sino también un deseo específico de aplicar y promover el uso de tecnologías de vanguardia para difundir el valor de la memoria colectiva que se contiene en el acervo de la hoy Biblioteca Central Universitaria “José María Lafragua”.
