English abstract

The North Rhine-Westphalia Online Utility and Library Service Centre - hbz (http://www.hbz-nrw.de/) was launched in 1973. It provides services to libraries in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond. Hans Ollig is head of hbz. The current interview informs about hbz’s duties and objectives. It deals with the hbz union catalogue, acquisition of electronic resources via consortia and the Digital Library (DigiBib). Ongoing hbz projects are mentioned eg. Digital Peer Publishing (DiPP NRW), vascoda and the Three National Catalogue.

Das 1973 gegründete Hochschulbibliothekszentrum des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen - hbz (http://www.hbz-nrw.de/) fungiert als Dienstleister für Bibliotheken in Nordrhein-Westfalen und darüber hinaus. Das aktuelle Interview mit Hans Ollig, Leiter des hbz, informiert über Ziele und Aufgaben des hbz, vom hbz-Verbundsystem über die konsortiale Erwerbung elektronischer Ressourcen bis zur Digitalen Bibliothek (DigiBib). Thematisiert werden auch laufende Projekte, an denen das hbz beteiligt ist, wie Digital Peer Publishing (DiPP NRW), vascoda oder der Dreiländerkatalog.
