Definition of “serendipity” and historical origins of this word. Serendipity can not be foresen, but it doesn’t happen totally randomly. Librarians and information scientists can prepare the situations for serendipity findings take place.

Definición de “serendipidad” y orígenes históricos de esta palabra. La serendipidad no se puede prever, pero tampoco sucede siempre de forma completamente aleatoria. Los bibliotecarios y los documentalistas pueden preparar las situaciones para que tengan lugar hallazgos serendípicos.
