Der Sammelband "Die Bibliothek als öffentlicher Ort und öffentlicher Raum" erscheint zu einem Zeitpunkt, in dem der Aufenthalt im öffentlichen Raum ohne Konsumzwang immer weiter eingeschränkt wird und wo sich immer wieder die Frage stellt, wie öffentlich der sogenannte "öffentliche Raum" wirklich ist.
