Abstract
[English abstract] Homogeneous and easy to update scientometric indicators for a wide spectrum of problems were obtained making use of the bibliographic database Current Contents. The procedures adopted and the major factors which can affect the accuracy of the results are reported and discussed. Case studies are presented concerning: (i) international co-operation, (ii) foreign policy and (iii) vocation for industrial settlements, which provide examples of how these indicators can comply with a variety of needs.
[Italian abstract] Omogenei e facilmente aggiornabili, gli indicatori scientometrici, che coprono un’ampia gamma di problemi, vennero ottenuti utilizzando il database bibliografico Current Contents. Le procedure adottare e i fattori che potrebbero influenzare l’accuratezza del dato risultante sono individuarti e discussi. Vengono presentati casi studio in merito a: (i) cooperazione internazionale, (ii) politiche all’estero e (iii) attitudine ad un ordinamento di tipo industriale, che fornisce esempi di come questi indicatori siano applicabili ad una vasta serie di necessità.
