Abstract
[English abstract] In the past, knowledge was scarce and highly protected. Information was filtered through the organizational structure, and only a little information was available. Many industries focused their production on tangible materials. Nowadays, knowledge is the result of a production made to acquire minds, a kind of richness; organizations have the duty to create systematic and rational ways to identify and use experiences, specializations and individual skills as resource for the organization itself. A main role is played by the technology integration into an industrial organizing culture, so that knowledge is largely available and usable.
[Italian abstract] Nel passato la conoscenza era scarsa e altamente protetta. L'informazione era filtrata dall'alto attraverso l'imbuto della struttura organizzativa ed era relativamente poca l'informazione che colava verso il basso. Molte aziende focalizzavano la loro attenzione sulla produzione materiale di prodotti tangibili. Adesso, invece, la conoscenza è il prodotto per la maggior parte delle aziende che destinano risorse crescenti più per l'acquisizione di menti che non di braccia. Così la conoscenza viene sempre più vista come una ricchezza aziendale vera e propria, e compito delle organizzazioni diventa sempre di più il creare modi sistematici e razionali per identificare e convertire le esperienze, le specialità e le abilità individuali in risorse dell'organizzazione stessa. In questa strategia, un ruolo fondamentale spetta all'integrazione della tecnologia nella cultura organizzativa d'impresa, affinchè la conoscenza sia resa ampiamente accessibile e utilizzabile.
