Abstract

La transició que estem vivint actualment cap a una societat de la informació ha modificat profundament les relacions entre les persones, empreses, i governs: les empreses usen la Xarxa per relacionar-se amb els clients i proveïdors, utilitzen també eines de gestió del coneixement per ser més eficients, els governs milloren la seva presència a Internet i els serveis als ciutadans, a través de la Xarxa, els usuaris usen les eines per millorar les seves relacions personals, etc. Anem de manera imparable cap a una societat altament interconnectada on l'eix fonamental és la informació i on les llengües tenen un paper molt destacat.

Language and society of the information: constructing a layer of free linguistic resources for the Catalan. The transition which we are living at the moment towards a society of the information has deeply modified the relations between the people, companies, and governments: the companies use the Network to be related to the clients and suppliers, also use tools of management of the knowledge to be more efficient, the governments improve their presence to Internet and the services to the citizens, through the Network, the users use the tools to improve their personal relations, etc. We go of unstoppable way towards a society highly interconnected where the fundamental axis is the information and where the languages have a much outstanding paper.
