Esta presentación está orientada a considerar el impacto acumulativo que han tenido los diferentes procesos de transición de la información y de las unidades que las manejan. Estamos en un mundo en constante evolución científica y tecnológica, las bibliotecas y los centros de información ya no cuentan solamente con materiales impresos, ahora el medio electrónico constituye un soporte impresionante de transmisión de conocimientos científicos, tecnológicos y humanísticos.

This presentation is oriented to consider the cumulative impact which they have had the different processes from transition of the information and of the units that handle them. We are in a world in constant scientific evolution and technological, the libraries and the information centers no longer count only on printed materials, now the electronic means constitutes an impressive support of transmission of scientific, technological and humanistic knowledge.
