Abstract

This study is based on a survey of discipline-based preprint archives available in electronic format on the Internet. The process of peer-review in the e-print (preprints in electronic format) age is presented. Most popular 19 e-print archive services in different disciplines
have been identified. Recent initiatives on e-print archives like OAI, OpCit etc. are noted.
