Es LILACS la base de datos de la Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud, coordinada por BIREME (Centro Latinoamericano y del Caribe de Información en Ciencias de la Salud), a la que los diferentes países comprendidos en nuestro entorno geográfico contribuyen con el envío de registros bibliográficos correspondientes a la producción de literatura nacional en el área de la salud, según el formato establecido por la metodología LILACS.

The database LILACS, that is coordinated by BIREME, has the participation of multiple countries that send the bibliographical registries of institutional scientific production in health, according to the format established by methodology LILACS.
