Abstract

Los bibliotecarios no debemos permanecer impasibles ante el desarrollo impetuoso de la computación y las telecomunicaciones. Por el contrario, debemos ser capaces de responder a este desafío con un continuo incremento de nuestros conocimientos y un batallar incesante por convertir estos medios modernos en instrumentos para la obtención de la excelencia en nuestro trabajo. Aceptemos el reto y participemos activamente en la revolución tecnológica que se opera actualmente en el campo de la actividad científico-informativa.

The librarians do not have to remain impassible before the impetuous development of the computation and the telecommunications. On the contrary, we must be able to respond to this challenge with a continuous increase of our knowledge and to battle incessant to turn these modern means instruments for the obtaining of the excellence in our work. Let us accept the challenge and we participate actively in the technological revolution that operates at the moment in the field of the scientist-informative activity.
