Domesday Book je najstariji popis zemljišnih poseda, vlasnika, zakupaca i kmetova i celokupne njihove imovine obavljen 1086. godine u Engleskoj. Ovaj spis, načinjen po nalogu Vilijama I Osvajača, je najstariji javni arhivski dokument i osnov je nacionalnog arhiva. Ispisan je na pergamentu, na latinskom jeziku, prvobitno povezan u dva toma. Ograničeno faksimilno izdanje objavljeno je 1986. godine, a elektronska izdanja od 2000 do 2002. U radu se opisuje nastanak i sadržaj rukopisa, proces izrade faksimilnog izdanja i osobine CD izdanja: Domesday Explorer i Digital Domesday.

[English abstract]

Domesday Book is the survey of landholdings, owners, tenants and slaves and the whole their assets in 1086 in England. It is the earliest public record, the foundation document of the national archives. Produced on the orders of William the Conqueror, king of England, the manuscript was written on parchment, in Latin, originally bound in two volumes. Faxcimile edition of Domesday Book was published on 1986. anniversary, and electronic editions appeared in last two years. In the paper there is description of creation and content of the Book, facsimile edition production process and details of it’s CD editions: Domesday Explorer and Digital Domesday.
