Abstract

Nadie duda de que cuanto mejor informados estén los ciudadanos de hoy, más sanos serán los hábitos y actitudes de las generaciones del mañana y mayores serán las posibilidades de obtener el desarrollo para el bienestar de todos. Con tales propósitos se desarrolló el presente trabajo, por considerar a los profesores de Higiene y Epidemiología pilares fundamentales en el desarrollo de la medicina preventiva, base fundamental de nuestro Sistema Nacional de Salud, y poder así contribuir a lograr los cambios pertinentes en el país, acordes con los objetivos, propósitos y directrices de la salud cubana para el año 2000. Con el presente trabajo sus autores se proponen contribuir al conocimiento de las necesidades de información científica de los profesores en el área de higiene y epidemiología, e identificar las principales necesidades de información científica priorizadas por los profesores de Higiene y Epidemiología.

Nobody doubt that whichever better informed the citizens, healthier will be the habits and attitudes of the greater generations and will be the possibilities of obtaining the development for the well-being of all. With such intentions the present work was developed, to consider to the professors of Epidemiology fundamental pillars in the development of the preventive medicine, it bases fundamental of our National System of Health, and to thus be able to contribute to obtain the pertinent changes in the country, agreed with the objectives, intentions and directives of the Cuban health for year 2000. With the present work the authors want to contribute to the knowledge of the necessities of scientific information of the professors in the area of epidemiology, and to identify the main necessities of scientific information prioritized by the professors in that Science.
