Abstract

Para realizar el presente estudio, se revisaron las listas de títulos que procesan cada una de las secciones del Current Contents seleccionadas. Las secciones "Life Sciences" y "Clinical Medicine" cubren un gran número de títulos de importancia vital para la medicina y otras ciencias de la vida. Con el objetivo de ofrecer una visión de conjunto del mundo de la biomedicina, a partir del cotejo de ambas listas y de la eliminación de títulos duplicados, se conformó un conjunto único de publicaciones que sirviera de base al análisis posterior. Se computaron los totales de títulos según editorial y país y de casas editoriales según país.

[English abstract]

In the present work, the authors supervised the journal title lists of each selected Current Contents sections. The sections "Life Sciences" and "Clinical Medicine" cover a big number of very important titles for medicine and other life sciences. In order to offer a global vision of the biomedical world, after the supervision of both lists and the elimination of duplicated titles, a unique set of serial publications was grouped and analyzed. The total of titles according to the publisher house and the country, and the total of publisher houses according to the country, were computed.
