U radu je dan povijesni pregled razvoja OPAC-a. Ukratko su opisane glavne značajke online kataloga kroz tri faze njihovog razvitka.

The paper gives a historical account of the development of OPACs. The main features of online catalogues are described briefly through three phases of their development.
