Se estudia la historia de la imprenta en Antequera entre los años 1573 y 1603: a traves de los cuatro impresores activos, de sus biografías y de su producción, buscando las razones que hicieron posible tan pronta instalación de impresor en la ciudad. Sobre la familia Nebrija se aportan datos que identifican su trayectoria en Antequera diferenciándola de Granada, poco estudiada, y relacionándola con los privilegios de impresión y sus intereses económicos. Igualmente se aportan datos desconocidos sobre la actividad de otros impresores además de los cuatro principales.

The history of printing in Antequera between 1573 and 1603 is studied through the analysis of four active printers, their bioraphies and output trying to discover the reasons that contributed to the sudden appearance of printers in the city. Information is provided on the Nebrija family descibing their work in Antequera and differentiating it from their work in Granada, which has been very little studied, and setting it into the context of the printing privileges and economic interests they had. Details are also provided on the work carried out by printers other than the four mentioned in the title.
