Las tecnologías de la información han propiciado a las bibliotecas una herramienta para la optimización de sus servicios documentales, la biblioteca juega un doble papel como usuaria y como proveedora de servicios en Internet. En este estudio el interés se centra en las posibilidades que nos brinda esta herramienta para ofrecer servicios desde la biblioteca. Para ello, hemos tomado como referencia la lista de distribución InfoDOC realizada desde la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Traducción y Documentación de la Universidad de Salamanca.

The information technology has been an important tool for the libraries to optimize the services, the library have a double role like user and service provider in Internet. In this study the interest is centered in the possibilities that information technology has to offer services from the library. We have taken like reference the distribution list InfoDOC made by the Library of the Faculty of Translation and Documentation, University of Salamanca.
