分析《西文文献著录条例》修订的必要性，重点介绍连续性资源的修订特色、新规则的变化特点以及集成性资源编目应用中可能遇到的问题，即采用什么原则为网络型电子期刊编制书目记录、MARC格式如何应用以及如何选取著录信息源。

'Descriptive Cataloging Rules for Western Language Materials' provides a descriptive standard for all types of materials, however, it has been challenged by the rapid development of the Internet. The paper focuses on the new changes and rules of revision, especially the continuing resources.
