Rad prikazuje izvore informacija u Biblioteci Šumarskog fakulteta i aktivnosti koje se planiraju radi upoznavanja studenata sa radom Biblioteke pronalaženjem bibliografskih informacija. Studiranje se ne svodi samo na korišćenje udžbeničke literature i nastavnik od studenta očekuje da sam pronalazi potrebnu literaturu. Mnogo studenata sa istovremenim informacionim zahtevima istog tipa (kad studenti traže "nešto iz... oblasti") inspirisalo je bibliotekare na obezbeđivanje efikasnije pomoći za njih: 1. grupnom prezentacijom istih objašnjenja, i 2. posvećivanjem više vremena korisnicima sa specifičnim temama i izvorima informacija. Predstavljen je sadržaj uvodnog predavanja koje je kao probno prezentovano na jednom času. Radi poboljšanja sistematskog informisanja studenata, Biblioteka i uprava Fakulteta su se dogovorili da se početkom školske godine u čitaonici drže kratki kursevi.

The information resources in the Library of the Faculty of Forestry are reviewed as well as the activities planned in order to inform the students on the Library work and bibliographic information providing. The study is not reduced only to use of manuals and professors expect that students personally seek and find literature needed. Many students with similar information requests (when students ask for "....something from the field of...") have inspired the librarians to make more efficient support to them: 1. via group presentation of the same explications and information; and 2. by dedicating more time to the users with specific subjects and information resources. The content of the introductory lecture that was presented as preliminary on a class is sketched. In order to systematically improve the student's awareness, the Library and the Faculty Management have agreed that some short courses should be organized in the reading room at the beginning of each school year.
