Abstract
[Greek abstract] Αυτό το άρθρο εξετάζει το μέλλον της επιστήμης της Βιβλιοθηκονομίας και περιγράφει την επιρροή που έχει το διαδίκτυο και οι νέες τεχνολογίες στο επάγγελμα του βιβλιοθηκονόμου. Περιγράφει επίσης γιατί οι βιβλιοθηκονόμοι και οι επιστήμονες της πληροφόρησης είναι και θα εξακολουθήσουν και στο μέλλον να είναι απαραίτητοι στον κόσμο της πληροφόρησης.
[English abstract] This article examines the future of the library science and outlines the impact the Internet and the new technology have upon the library profession. It is also indicates why librarians and information professionals are and will be necessary for the information world in the future.
