La trayectoria política y legislativa de la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza (España) en cuanto a su Sistema Bibliotecario está plenamente consolidada. Pero la consolidación del Sistema Bibliotecario Andaluz (SIBIA) ha pasado por varias etapas hasta llegar a lo que legislativamente hoy configura la Red de Lectura Pública de Andalucía. Este devenir reglamentario tanto a nivel autonómico como estatal, que configura el SIBIA hoy en día ha pasando por distintas etapas que ofrecen un panorama cronológico de lo que han sido, son y serán los servicios de lectura pública en la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza tras la reciente aprobación de la nueva Ley del Sistema Andaluz de Bibliotecas y Centros de Documentación (BOJA nº 251 de 31 de diciembre de 2003 ). Ley que dibuja una nueva y más afianzada estructura bibliotecaria para nuestra comunidad autónoma con los objetivos prioritarios de asegurar la protección del patrimonio bibliográfico de la comunidad autónoma y ampliar el acceso de todos los ciudadanos a los registros culturales.

The political and legislative trajectory of the Independent Community Andalusian (Spain) as far as its Librarian System totally is consolidated. But the consolidation of Andalusian Librarian System (SIBIA) has happened through several stages until arriving at which legislatively today it forms the Network of Public Reading of Andalusia. This to happen as much prescribed at autonomic level as state, that forms the SIBIA nowadays is happening through different stages that offer a chronological panorama of which they have been, is and will be the services of public reading in the Independent Community Andalusian after the recent approval of the new Law of the Andalusian System of Libraries and Documentation Centers(nº 251 of 31 of December of 2003). Law that draws a new one and more strengthened structure librarian for our independent community with the high-priority objectives to assure the protection the bibliographical patrimony of the independent community and to extend the access of all the citizens to the cultural registries.
